Colorado Yule Marble
with unique green veining One of my joys is spotting birds and collecting fallen feathers, so why not carve one? While working on this carving, I contemplated the history of our Native Americans and the broken promises.

Colorado Yule Marble
with unique green veining The raw stone at the top of this minimalist sculpture creates a striking contrast against its smooth, polished sides. It invites viewers to explore the differences between the natural world and humanity. This sculpture serves as a powerful reminder that embracing diversity can lead to stunning and harmonious outcomes. The stone features a beautiful aesthetic with its green copper veins—a rare find.

Quartzite
This piece is an example of direct carving. Often, I don't have an image of what I want to carve. As I polished this stone, beautiful green hues appeared. The natural notch reminded me of the man in the moon winking at the world. I loved leaving the natural roughness on the back of this piece – the back of the moon!
Is it winking at you?

Colorado Yule Marble
with rare green veining
I found inspiration for this piece in the stone itself. I collect shells, so when I saw this stone, I thought, "Hmm...this reminds me of the seashore." When possible, I enjoy leaving some of the natural raw stone.

Marble
with green glass
The green drop of glass at the top of this minimalist sculpture creates a striking contrast against its smooth, polished black and white sides. It invites viewers to explore the differences between the natural world and man made. The glass came from a wind chime that was broken by an elk interested in its flavor. The glass feature pulls out the beautiful green areas of the marble.

Black Wood Base

Brown Marble
I love the colors of this rock and especially the surprise of the green nose. As I was shaping the rock, I had memories of catching my first fish - a 19 lbs Colorado Rainbow Trout. I certainly was hooked on fishing!
