with unique green veining   One of my joys is spotting birds and collecting fallen feathers, so why not carve one? While working on this carving, I contemplated the history of our Native Americans and the broken promises.

Quartzite

 This piece is an example of direct carving. Often, I don't have an image of what I want to carve. As I polished this stone, beautiful green hues appeared. The natural notch reminded me of the man in the moon winking at the world. I loved leaving the natural roughness on the back of this piece – the back of the moon!
